Questions

Questions

The ones people actually ask, answered plainly.

Will it keep out a real customer?

That is the failure we design against above every other consideration. Genuine enquiries are never silently lost: if JunkGate is ever unsure, or ever unavailable, your messages are delivered. A new site holds nothing at all until it has proved itself on your own traffic, and your dashboard shows the count of real enquiries wrongly kept out as its own figure, which on your site should read zero.

Do you read my messages?

No person does. Enquiries are handled automatically, nobody sits looking at them, and they are never used to build anything for anybody else. Messages are deleted 30 days after they arrive, and you can shorten that window yourself.

My contact form gets junk even though my email filtering is good. Why?

Because a form submission is sent by your own web server, not by the person who filled it in. It arrives at your inbox from a sender your mail provider already trusts, so the filtering that would have stopped the same words coming from a stranger never runs at all. The envelope is genuinely yours, which is why nothing about the sender is going to save you.

Does badly written mean spam?

Not any more, and assuming it does now works against you. Nearly all scam messages are written or polished by AI, so they are fluent and correctly punctuated, while a real customer typing on a phone between jobs produces exactly the sloppy message an older filter would flag. Anything that sorts your post by how neatly it was typed now has it precisely backwards.

What happens if JunkGate goes down?

Your form keeps working and your enquiries keep arriving. Genuine enquiries are never silently lost: if we are unsure, slow or unreachable, the message is delivered and the dashboard says plainly that is what happened. Something that can cost you a customer when it fails is worse than nothing at all.

What happens to an enquiry

Do my visitors have to complete a CAPTCHA?

Never. That is the point. Your customers fill in your form and press send, exactly as they do today. They never see JunkGate and never prove anything to anyone.

How is this different from the spam filter I already have?

A mailbox spam filter is aimed at email in general, and the junk arriving through your contact form never meets it in the first place, because your own server sent it. JunkGate is aimed at that one channel, keeps what it stops where you can see it, and lets you overrule any of it in a click.

Why not just use a free CAPTCHA?

A CAPTCHA proves the sender is human. It cannot tell a customer from a scammer, and the scams that take real money out of a business are typed by people. It also makes your genuine customers do work to prove themselves, and plenty of them give up instead, without you ever learning which ones.

What if you get one wrong?

Release it in one click. It goes straight to you, exactly as it was written, and JunkGate takes that correction into account on your site from then on.

Can I see what it would do before letting it act?

Yes, and you have to. Every new site is watch-only. Nothing is kept out, and the dashboard fills with what JunkGate would have done so you can judge it on your own traffic first.

Do I need a developer?

No. It is one line pasted into your page, and it works with the form you already have. If you use a website builder that allows custom code, you can do it yourself in a couple of minutes.

What does it cost?

The Watch plan is free forever: one site, 200 enquiries a month, no card. Paid plans start at fifteen dollars a month for one site, and drop to eight dollars a site from five sites and four dollars a site from twenty five. Yearly billing gives you two months free, and there is thirty days money back on your first invoice.

Why will you not tell me your accuracy percentage?

Because one number hides the only mistake that costs you money. Something can be right almost every time and still be quietly losing your best enquiries, and the single figure it quotes you would look excellent throughout. An average taken across other people’s websites tells you nothing about yours either. So there is no blended figure here, and no fleet average to publish. Paste your own junk into the box on the front page, then watch your own traffic in watch-only before anything is allowed to act.

The mistake that matters

What data do you keep, and for how long?

The submissions themselves, so you can review and release them, deleted after 30 days by default. Anonymous counts are kept beyond that so your own figures survive, but they contain no personal information at all.

How does it decide?

We do not publish that, in the same way no security product publishes what it looks for: anything we describe is something the people writing these messages can work around. What we will tell you is what happens. Junk and scams are kept out of your inbox rather than deleted, anything JunkGate is unsure about is delivered to you, and every decision is one click from being overruled. And you never have to take our word for any of it, because you can put your own junk through the box on the front page.
