The service

JunkGate assesses submissions to your contact form and email, holds those it identifies as junk, and gives you a dashboard to review and release them.

What we promise

• We will not delete your submissions as a result of a filtering decision. Held items remain visible and releasable until the retention window ends.
• When we cannot reach a decision, we deliver the message rather than hold it.
• We will not let JunkGate act on a site that has not first proved itself in watch-only, and switching it on is yours to do rather than ours.

What you are agreeing to

These are the promises above, seen from your side. They matter because they are what makes the arrangement fair, so we would rather set them out than leave them implied.

• You decide when filtering starts. Every site begins in watch-only and holds nothing at all. Nothing is ever held until you turn holding on yourself.
• Nothing held is ever lost. Held messages stay visible and go to you in one click, for as long as your retention window lasts.
• We deliver when we are unsure. If the service is slow, unavailable, or cannot reach a decision, your message arrives unfiltered and the dashboard says so.
• You agree to look at what is held. The dashboard exists so mistakes are visible and reversible, and that only works if someone reads it. Please do not treat JunkGate as your only record of who contacted you.

How decisions are made

Submissions are assessed and classified automatically, by software, and no person reads them as part of that process. Any reason shown beside a decision in your dashboard is generated automatically, it describes the submission rather than the person who sent it, and it can be wrong. We do not publish the detail of how the assessment is made.

What we do not promise

Nothing of this kind is perfect and ours is not either. We do not guarantee that every piece of junk is caught, and we are not liable for business lost through a message being held or delivered. This is why watch-only exists, why held items stay visible, and why you can release anything in one click.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the personal information collected through your own forms and for telling your visitors how it is handled.
• Do not use JunkGate to intercept messages you have no right to receive.
• Keep your site key reasonably private. It identifies your site.

Payment and cancellation

The Watch plan is free and takes no payment details. Paid plans are billed in advance, in the flow, so there is nothing to be charged and nothing to cancel. If paid plans are introduced later, the prices will be published before they apply, existing users will be told first, and nothing will begin charging without you choosing it and supplying payment details yourself.

Ending the service

You can stop at any time by removing the snippet, and deleting your account removes your stored submissions. If we ever discontinue the service we will give notice in time for you to remove it, and your form will keep working regardless because JunkGate sits beside it rather than in the middle of it.
